AUC Professor Connects with ‘Lost’ Relatives
BY CARAVAN STAFF
An international detective agency has helped reunite an AUC professor with relatives that were lost following the Great Depression which hit world economies.
Journalism and Mass Communication Professor Kim Fox was surprised to receive a letter from the AFD Global Investigations Agency that she was cousins with actress Megan Fox (of Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame).
“Unbelievable, it’s just unbelievable that nearly 100 years later both sides of the family would be reunited in this way,” Kim Fox said.
Megan Fox, the Caravan has learned, made a secret trip to Zamalek where she and Kim took pictures and signed autographs.
During the Great Depression, the Fox cousins’ grandparents were separated after millions migrated across the continental United States in search of work. Megan Fox’s family moved to Tennessee and later Florida while Kim Fox’s family settled near the great steel mills of Ohio.
Now that the two have united, they wondered who else among their long-lost relatives is still out there.
“Vivica!” says Kim Fox about another potential relative.
Vivica Fox is the female star of the box office sci-fi hit Independence Day.
