AUC’s Water Polo Champion

At the age of seven, Ahmed El Sherbini knew that he wanted to swim for the rest of his life.

Now at the age of 21, El Sherbini is the captain of the water polo Gezira Sporting Club team and the youngest player to win a spot on the Egyptian national team at the age of 18.

Since 2007, he managed to win almost 30 medals, many of which were from national and international championships.

El Sherbini wanted to share his passion and knowledge with those younger than him by coaching the under-11-years water polo Gezira Sporting Club team.

Besides his highly successful athletic career, El Sherbini is intending to double major in Business and Mass Communication before his expected graduation in Spring 2016.

El Sherbini hopes that after graduation he will be able to participate in the water polo competition at the 2016 Olympics.
